It’s the time of year when even Liam Gallagher is feeling sentimental. The former Oasis frontman unveiled a delicate ballad about love triumphing in a time of crisis, with all proceeds benefitting Action for Children until Dec 31. The track was produced by Miike Snow’s Andrew Wyatt and co-written with Simon Aldred.
“‘All You’re Dreaming Of’ is an instant classic that is perfect for this time of year,” Gallagher revealed in a press statement. “Considering the year that we’ve all had, I hope this brings back some much needed love and hope. Bing Crosby would have been proud.”
Meanwhile, could the feuding Oasis brothers even be feeling sentimental enough to consider a reunion? It’s no secret Liam has been the more vocal Oasis brother open to reforming. Earlier this year, Liam urged his brother Noel to reunite the band for charity, while rumors surged that they had been offered 100 million pounds for a tour. Noel denied the offer even existed.
On a new episode of the UK’s The Jonathan Ross Show, Liam referenced the offer, stating: “When someone offers you 100 million pounds to do a few gigs and that man, you’re going to go, ‘Alright then yeah….’ There was a lot of money knocking about. It was 100 million pounds to do a tour and that and I’m thinking, ‘I’m not a dickhead, know what I mean? I’ll have a bit of that.’ He’s not into it is he? He’s after a knighthood isn’t he?”
Although suggesting “never say never,” Liam said that both he and Noel have to “take some [responsibility].”
“I think we’re both the problem and the problem is that he thinks he’s not the problem,” he said. “He thinks I’m both the problems. Whereas I’m just a problem. I’m half the problem, whereas I can’t be having him thinking I’m the full problem. He needs to take on some of the problem. The minute he does that we’ll move on… He needs to own his problem.”
Translation: an Oasis reunion is not happening anytime soon. In the meantime, listen to Liam Gallagher’s “All You’re Dreaming Of” below.
