LA quartet Here Lies Man are known for connecting West African rhythms to traditional rock. With the announcement of their forthcoming record Ritual Divination, the band is leaning harder into their heavier, Black Sabbath–inspired side. “It’s always been our intention to explore,” says vocalist and guitarist Marcos García, who also plays guitar in Antibalas. “As we travelled deeper into this musical landscape, new features revealed themselves.”

Their new single, “Come Inside,” premiering here today, showcases the band’s love for psych-tinged stoner rock. The four-minute track gets lost in its own chaos, spiraling into the sonic darkness of mesmerizing guitars.

Ritual Divination is out January 22 via RidingEasy Records. Listen to “I Told You (You Shall Die)” below.
