Phoebes Unite on the Waller-Bridge-Directed Video for Bridgers’ “Savior Complex”

The Punisher single comes to life, courtesy of the Fleabag star.

Not since the unsurprisingly awkward union of Aesop Rock and A$AP Rocky has a thirst for pop-cultural overlap been so satisfyingly quenched. The nearly homonymous Phoebe Bridgers and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge have finally acknowledged each other by working together on a video for the former’s song “Savior Complex” off her recent LP Punisher

Enlisting Normal People actor Paul Mescal and an equally talented canine co-star, the black-and-white visual depicts a very-un-Hollywood carjacking with frequent cameos from Bridgers. The clip arrives ahead of Phoebe’s performance of the track on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon tomorrow night, and follows the release of Bridgers’ Copycat Killer EP and her following through on a promise to cover Goo Goo Dolls’ “Iris.”
