Back in October, Deanna Belos announced her band Sincere Engineer’s signing to Hopeless Records with a rousing new single “Trust Me,” pitting her hoarse shouts and musings on self-sabotage over a full-band emo sound so firmly rooted in the Midwest that it bought her an opening slot for a Lawrence Arms tour.

With further plans for SE’s follow up to 2017’s Rhombithian still to be revealed, Belos took to the fields of Northeastern Illinois—the village of Mokena, specifically—to belt out her recent single with just an acoustic guitar to compete with her commanding vocals. Watch the clip below, and expect more from Sincere Engineer in the near future.
