We haven’t heard much from Clairo since the songwriter released one of the best songs of 2019, though, like all of us, she’s understandably been dealing with the enormous mental weight that is an indefinite global pandemic. While there’s no news of a follow-up to Immunity—nor much progress toward our country achieving it—Claire Cottrill revealed today on her Instagram that she’s been penning songs while in isolation.
“not sure about you, but my mental health has taken a major dip since quarantine started- at times I feel like i’ve never felt worse,” she shared, captioning an audio clip for an unheard song called “Just for Today.” “new medication, hotlines, and one scheduled appointment with a psychiatrist later and i’m feeling more like myself again. I wrote this last night and i feel there’s no real reason I should hold onto it. Hope you enjoy the song and Joanie’s squeaks.”
