If Imploding the Mirage—The Killers’ endearingly heartland-rock-y follow-up to the new-wavey 2017 Wonderful Wonderful—was about ten minutes too short for you, you’re in luck. Today the glammy Las Vegans are announcing a deluxe version of the record, which features three new tracks: a stripped, acoustic take on “Blowback,” a new version of “Caution” which they refer to as “Wasatch Style,” and a brand new track called “C’est La Vie,” which echoes the playful, globe-trotting chaos of a Talking Heads number.
This news arrives in the wake of news of yet another Killers LP in the works, with the Mirage production team of Jonathan Rado and Shawn Everett re-signing for the next record. Hear all three new tracks below, and anticipate more from the band soon.
