For as little time as Tyler Zanon’s been making music, his career has taken plenty of turns—from a bedroom solo project called Bedroom Talk, to a heavy-emo duo renamed Youth Fountain, to solo acoustic recordings of YF favs—and, with his latest output “Peace Offering,” a reversion back to the energetic pop-punk solo music that launched his career. The new track arrives ahead of a promised 2021 LP through his label Pure Noise, and it balances the harsh punk sounds and introspective lyrics of past tourmates like Free Throw and Can’t Swim.

“This track was written in the perspective of knowing you could never truly love or be loved by anyone before being comfortable with who you are as a person,” Zanon shares. “No matter what positive aspects can come out of a relationship—if the foundation isn’t there of having that bare minimum of self love, things inevitably tend to tarnish.”
