The Weeknd‘s After Hours broke a lot of records and had a lot of great singles (and inspired a memorable Super Bowl performance), one being the melancholic jam “Save Your Tears.” Personally, I think it’s a near-perfect song. But now, rising musician girl in red has shared her own punk version of the track. And, well, it’s awesome.

Straying from The Weeknd’s passive aggressive approach, the Norwegian singer boosts up the tempo and fuels the track with a fierce aggression—as heard in the way she emphasizes the line “Yeah, I broke your heart like someone did to mine” with a newly imbued sense of emo urgency and melodrama. We were already excited for her forthcoming debut album if i could make it go quiet, which is out April 30. But now I want an entire Weeknd covers comp only from girl in red. Alas, I shall save my tears…for another day.

Play it on repeat below.
