Last summer, UK indie-electro-dance duo Jungle unleashed its excellent self-titled debut onto the world, and the world, in turn, hasn’t been able to stop grooving since. This morning, the group premiered the official music video for “Julia,” an addictive track about longing and love at first sight.
The video for “Julia” brought Oliver Hadlee Pearch and Jungle’s J (Josh Lloyd-Watson) back together again as co-directors—a title the pair shared for Jungle’s previous videos “Platoon,” “The Heat,” “Busy Earnin’,” and “Time.” Instead of trying to come up with some sort of linear or theatrical plot for the three-and-a-half-minute video, Pearch and Watson relied again on the fantastic talent of their dancers and some awe-inspiring choreography to capture the attention of viewers and highlight the synth-laden track.
Jungle will be hitting the festival circuit this spring including stops at this year’s Coachella, Sasquatch!, and Bonnaroo with a handful of tour dates surrounding those landmark performances.
