If the psych-tinged garage rock of Evolfo’s first single didn’t do enough to open your third eye, the Brooklyn rockers are back with a second dose of their forthcoming LP Site Out of Mind. “Give Me Time” sounds like the kind of oddball psych-pop wormhole John Dwyer likely would’ve fallen into had he not discovered metal, jazz, and Krautrock at a pivotal moment in his band’s evolution, with the track progressing from simple pop hooks over the track’s five minutes into a cosmic abyss of heavy riffs.

Along with the video, the band is sharing a colorful animated visual created by Omar Juarez (a.k.a. El Oms), who cites a recent encounter with a Luis Buñuel classic as inspiration. “Around the same time I heard the song, I was re-watching the 1952 Mexican movie Los olvidados,” he recalls. “It’s a story about young kids facing everyday struggles with life. The verse that stood out to me was ‘No ones come to rescue me.’ I immediately thought of Los olvidados and came up with the video concept. I presented it to Evolfo and we started to brainstorm on how we wanted the audience to go on this psychedelic and emotional ride.”
