It’s been three years since LA maestro Tyler, the Creator released his excellent 2019 album Igor. Since then he’s released another ice cream flavor and wrote a jingle for Coca-Cola. But now that things are possibly getting back to normal, there’s word of another Tyler era.

Rumors about new music from Tyler started to simmer when a billboard popped up with the message: “Call me if you get lost 855-444-8888.” If you call the number, it leads you to a voicemail that many speculated featured Tyler’s mother. That same billboard appeared on a website callmeifyougetlost.com, which is now updated with the teaser “Side Street” and a new song that dropped today called “Lumberjack.”

“Lumberjack” recalls some of the harder production of Tyler’s Cherry Bomb era from 2015, but his rap delivery is less emotive and more straightforward. Instead, the track is filled to the brim with ad libs with DJ Drama. The accompanying video finds him having a good laugh with his manicurist and wrestling with various weather conditions.
