Substance 2021 Lineup Announced, feat. Chelsea Wolfe, HEALTH, Nitzer Ebb, Lingua Ignota, and More

The three-night industrial and new wave festival will kick off November 26 at Downtown LA’s Belasco theater.

Back in 2019, a new and notable LA-based music festival cropped up called Substance, which highlighted the city’s burgeoning industrial and new wave scene while pulling in additional acts from around the globe—from big-name headliners like Gary Numan to up-and-coming projects like Boy Harsher. After taking 2020 off, the fest is returning for its second year with an expanded lineup featuring Chelsea Wolfe, Nitzer Ebb, HEALTH, SALEM, Lingua Ignota, Squid, King Woman, Emma Ruth Rundle, Choir Boy, Provoker, Pictureplane, Debby Friday, Ceremony, Earth, and plenty of other exciting names.

The “multi-sensory event steeped in visual and sonic exploration” will take place over the course of three consecutive days, kicking off November 26 at Downtown LA’s Belasco theater. Proof of vaccination is required for all attendants, and the fest also takes a firm stance against hate speech, harassment, and sexual misconduct. Please don’t be a trash person. Just a general ask.

Tickets are on sale now—see the full lineup (so far) below, and grab single-day and weekend passes on the fest’s site.
