Porches‘ Aaron Maine released a great album this year called All Day Gentle Hold !, which we recently chatted with him about. But Maine’s 2021 output isn’t done quite yet—today he’s shared his take on Harry Styles’ “Adore You,” which, as a Harry fan, I can say is solid. Maine strips down the track to its bare bones of desire-tinged lyrics with a woozy guitar.
In regard to the cover, Maine said: “I thought it would be interesting to strip down ‘Adore You,’ this huge pop song, and see what happened. I feel like I was really able to get lost in it and create this kind of eerier and darker version.”
