We got our first listen at Mikal Cronin‘s upcoming third record MCIII at the end of January when he “Made His Mind Up.” Now, the multi-instrumentalist and Ty Segall-dubbed “secret weapon” is back with “ii) Gold,” the new album’s second single.
“ii) Gold,” which comes second in a six song cycle that makes up side B of MCIII, is a blistering rock anthem that features Mikal’s soaring falsetto croon at the chorus. The song wraps up with a jam on the tzouras, a traditional Greek instrument. Opa!
