Since the release of her acclaimed 2020 sophomore album Punisher, Phoebe Bridgers has done everything from creating a viral controversy with a televised guitar smash to building her own label, Saddest Factory Records. Now, she's announced another level to her growing list of extracurriculars through SiriusXM.
Saddest Factory Radio will be a monthly show featuring conversations from artists—including label signees MUNA, Sloppy Jane, and Claud—in addition to Bridgers showcasing her favorite tunes. “My favorite way to consume music is incidentally—something playing in the grocery store, an opening band I’ve never heard, a college radio station while trying to find signal on a road trip,” Bridgers said to Rolling Stone. “I hope I can offer something like that to people who tune in.”
She added: “In my personal life, I have always had a radio show. Punishing my friends on road trips with hours of dirges and ambient music, I can’t wait to do it professionally.”
It premieres March 3 at 3 p.m. PST. Revisit our Saddest Factory cover story here.
