From addressing the different seasons to the different periods one's of life, Squirrel Flower's music has always valued the cyclical nature of this world and its many contradictions. Ella Williams' last full-length Planet (i) focused on nature's vicious swells and soft beauties, and she followed that record up with the Planet EP which pulled from similar threads, although the self-produced project was grittier and more stripped down than its predecessor. It's a wonderful batch of songs to ground yourself with, whether you're in an apartment watching dust swirl in the air as the outside world bustles on or in nature breathing in crisp air amongst new growth and decay.

Today, Williams shared a video for one of the EP's highlights "Sitting in Traffic." "This video is a collection of 16mm film that my friend and collaborator, filmmaker John Jadkowski, filmed in Iceland and decided to gift to me for a music video," she shared of the footage.

She continued, "Sometimes you're lucky to have collaborators who you trust and believe in so much artistically that you're able to just say ‘Yeah, that sounds cool, let me know when you have a draft,’ and then you see the draft and it’s stunning. It somehow fits the song perfectly, even though he didn’t film it while planning for it to be a music video."
