Kelela recently announced that her long-awaited follow-up to 2017's debut LP Take Me Apart is on the way, with RAVEN set for release on February 10 via Warp Records. We've already heard three singles: "Washed Away," "Happy Ending," and "On the Run." Today, Kelela shared a Lee Wei Swee–directed visual for the latter.
In the video, Kelela rides in a warmly lit car with her co-star and one of the track's producers, Bambii. Bambii is Kelela's trusted confidant as the two ride through a sandstorm and into the all-consuming twilight. Kelela lights a joint and the two share snacks in a modern-day Thelma & Louise–esque trip. At the end, Kelela changes in the backseat, decides to stop the car, and seduces whoever's been on her tail.
