Recently there’s been some buzz about a new Yves Tumor album after a cryptic billboard was sighted in LA, which is generally a forebear of…something (well, not always). Sure enough, following last November’s “God Is a Circle” single the songwriter is announcing Praise a Lord Who Chews But Which Does Not Consume; (Or Simply, Hot Between Worlds), their sixth LP and, so far, the longest-titled release in their discography.
The news of that album’s March 17 release via Warp Records arrives alongside a new single called “Echolalia,” which further pushes Yves’ sound toward breathy pop while its Jordan Hemingway–directed video establishes a Gulliver’s Travels-by-way-of-hell aesthetic for the record. This news also arrives with a full slate of post-release tour dates beginning in the US (kicking off with two weekends at Coachella) alongside opening acts including Frost Children, Izzy Spears, and others, before heading to Spain and Portugal in June and hitting the UK and Europe in November.
