With festival season now in full extravaganza-coated swing, festival promoters and organizers are likely starting to clink celebratory cups of twelve-dollar beer for another year well done, but tomorrow is a new day (and soon enough it’ll be a new year), which is why the folks behind the International Music Festival Conference (IMFCON) are already getting set for the upcoming 2015 edition of the annual symposium, all set to take place this December in San Diego.
Last year’s conference went down in Austin, Texas, where music festival professionals, entertainment executives, brand specialists, and many others met to discuss and understand the latest trends in festivals, as well as discover how to expand their audience by engaging the community in a more meaningful way throughout the year. Representatives from the likes of Glastonbury and C3 (the force behind Austin City Limits and Lollapalooza) joined forces to swap ideas and resources in order to collectively maintain and contribute to the golden age of music festivals that we are now living in.
