With Jeff Rosenstock’s new album HELLMODE set to arrive tomorrow, September 1, the prolific artist has surprise-released the project a day early. HELLMODE marks the fifth (non-ska-centric) studio album the always-busy Rosenstock has released in the last decade years under his own name, following the dissolution of his beloved cult projects Bomb the Music Industry! and The Arrogant Sons of Bitches.
The album is fueled by anxiety and conflicting feelings of gaining more fans as the world continues to go to shit. “It’s weird feeling success at the worst possible time, while the world falls apart,” he said in a press statement. “These things I’ve been unintentionally working towards for the last two decades have come to fruition now, when everything is on fire.”
