Aesop Rock has announced Integrated Tech Solutions, his follow-up to 2021’s Blockhead collaboration Garbology, which is set for a November 10 release via Rhymesayers Entertainment. To celebrate the news, Aes has shared “Mindful Solutionism,” a grimy, head-nodding cut accented by distorted synths and sampled drum hits filtered through a delightfully lo-fi effect.
According to a press release, Integrated Tech Solutions is about “lifestyle- and industry-specific applications designed to curate a desired multi-experience.” On the project, the emcee uses this empty corporate speak to highlight just how ridiculous and vacuous this language has become.
Features on the 18-track album include billy woods, Hanni El Khatib, Nikki Jean, Lealani Teano, and Aes’ Hail Mary Mallon partner Rob Sonic. The album artwork is illustrated by renowned artist Justin “Coro” Kaufman, who was the creative director and illustrator for the “Mindful Solutionism” video, as well as the creator of the artwork for Aesop’s 2020 album Spirit World Field Guide.
