Debby Friday has returned with a new single entitled “let u in,” a dance-inspired pop single out now via Sub Pop. On the cut she employs an infectious half-rapped delivery, singing, “I never sleep, not when you are far away from me / I toss and turn, feel you pulling on my energy / I stay awake, yeah, these nights they get the best of me / I try to dream but I think about you endlessly.”
Recorded in Melbourne during her Australian tour supporting her Polaris-winning debut full-length GOOD LUCK, the track was co-produced by Friday with Darcy Baylis, who’s previously worked with Wicca Phase Springs Eternal, Georgia Maq, and King Woman’s Kris Esfandiari.
The artist’s tour schedule resumes on October 27 in Chicago at Thalia Hall. The run is currently set to wrap on December 14 in Montreal at Le Ritz. Check out the single below, and view Friday’s full list of tour dates here.
