iDKHOW (I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME)—the musical project of Salt Lake City-based Dallon Weekes—has announced their sophomore album GLOOM DIVISION, out February 23.

In celebration of the announcement, iDKHOW shared the project’s first single, “WHAT LOVE?” The track, which comes alongside a playful music video, features retro synths, bouncy basslines, head-nodding drums, and Weekes’ soul-inspired vocals, with the biting lyric “You only come around when I’ve got somebody new/ You only sacrifice the things I never asked you to.”

Produced by Dave Fridmann (Tame Impala, MGMT, Weezer), the album was recorded at Fridmann's Tarbox Road Studios and Weekes' own basement studio, GLOOM DIVISION.

“Writing has always been an outlet to exorcize your demons or difficult emotions, but with GLOOM DIVISION I made a conscious effort to stop censoring myself when it comes to the subject material, or what I wanted to say," reflected Weekes on the album. iDKHOW has also confirmed a hometown New Year’s celebration show that will take place on December 30 at The Depot in Salt Lake City.
