After what sounds like a long period of development hell, Danny Brown has finally officially announced his seventh studio album, Quaranta, set to be released via Warp Records on November 17. The record lists features from MIKE, Kassa Overall, and Bruiser Wolf, and according to a press release it serves as “a spiritual bookend to his breakout album XXX and meditative follow-up to this year’s critically heralded collaboration album Scaring the Hoes with JPEGMAFIA.”

To coincide with the news, the Detroit rap icon has unveiled the project’s first single, “Tantor,” produced by The Alchemist. The song comes alongside a video directed by *UNCANNY, where Brown blends IRL and VR as he roams Los Angeles in a bionic costume.

Later in November, Brown will host his 10th Bruiser Thanksgiving celebration, an annual concert featuring a selection of Brown’s favorite performers. The event will take place on November 22 at Detroit’s Russell Industrial Center, with more details to follow.

Pre-orders are available for Quaranta here. Check out the visual for “Tantor” below.
