Go ahead and get really excited—but don’t make any sudden movements, because you don’t want to knock over any of these...Glass Animals! The band has returned with I Love You So F***ing Much, out July 19 via Republic Records. To show how much they f***ing love us, they have also shared the first single, “Creatures in Heaven.”
It looks like the group has cooled off from the “Heat Wave.” Get it? The new single is a slow-burning synth-pop banger featuring a very strange pronunciation of “apartment,” but that’s what artistic license is all about, baby. The chorus is full-on arena-ready, a sign that their chart-topping hit from 2020 was less a flash in the pan than a sign of things to come.
Alongside the announcement, lead vocalist Dave Bayley said: “I love you so fing much, I LOVE YOU SO FING MUCH, I love you SO fing MUCH, I love you so FING much, I LOVE you so f***ing MUCH. These words take on a different meaning every time you say them. The universe may make us feel overwhelmingly small, but we have this human connection that is far vaster and more mysterious. Love comes in an infinite number of forms and shapes and sizes. It is so complex, and so powerful that even witnessing the tiniest instance of it can change your life forever.”
