Blondshell has announced that her second LP, If You Asked for a Picture, is set to arrive on May 2 via Partisan Records. Even better? FLOOD “Breaking” alum Sabrina Teitelbaum has shared the project’s first single, “T&A.” The new track, whose title stands for what you probably think it stands for, is a crunchy alt-rock number with big drums and bigger guitars and biggest vocals from Teitelbaum. The relationship-weary track finds Sabrina narrating a conversation with a friend, as she sings: “I said, ‘If you stop drinking, maybe I could find you attractive.‘” Good advice, TBH.
Regarding the track, Teitlebaum shared that the title is a reference to the Rolling Stones song “Little T&A.” “I think in music, it’s easy to see things as either more sexualized or more romantic, and I wanted this to be both,” she explained. “I see it as a love story—maybe not the most fairy tale love story—but I wanted it to feel like a really narrative song, where one thing leads to another and then you end up somewhere you didn’t expect.”
