If the news of an impending virtual reality Star Wars “experience” brought back some nightmarish flashbacks to a weightless CGI Yoda dancing around for twenty goddamn minutes, take a deep breath and relax. Good news is coming out of San Diego.

Over the weekend at Comic-Con, Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens was the talk of the town, naturally, with numerous big-time events led by potential future Sith Lord J. J. Abrams—who is desperately trying to make it clear that he’s not going to screw this franchise up again.

Across multiple days, hoards of die-hards were treated to concerts, panels, and many, many light sabers. Even Harrison Ford showed up to prove why Han Solo never wielded his own while also making time to scare the crap out of his new costars. But the main event was a frisson-inducing behind-the-scenes video that emphasized the physical effects and props used on set.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a Star Wars teaser without wild speculation about minute details, so head in and start combing the desert for new information. Spoiler alert, though: Simon Pegg is officially going to be in the movie. Man, that guy is living the life, huh?

Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens is out on Christmas Day.
