Since December, Julien Baker and TORRES have been slowly teasing their new collaborative music at live shows and on the late-night TV circuit, eventually announcing their debut album as a duo, Send a Prayer My Way, at the end of January. Before that project’s April 18 release via Matador, the artists hit The Daily Show last night to debut another new single called “Bottom of a Bottle.” They also sat down with host Michael Kosta as guests to talk about the album and their love of dogs. I, too, love dogs. And yet? The Daily Show has never asked me to be a guest.
“Bottom of a Bottle” is the fourth song to emerge from the project, following “Tuesday,” “Sylvia,” and “Sugar in the Tank”—the latter ofwhich they debuted on The Tonight Show. Check out the performance of the new single and their interview below, and pre-order Send a Prayer My Way here.
