S.G. Goodman has returned with a new single, “Satellite,” which is set to be featured on her forthcoming LP, Planting by the Signs. The track features a slow-burning instrumental and a rhyme scheme from Goodman that sounds like a cursed nursery rhyme. It’s equal parts intoxicating and spooky when she sings lines like, “In the jaw, in the jaw / That’s where you can catch it all / Say it’s true, say it’s right / Wishing on a satellite.”

“The whole premise behind the practice of Planting by the Signs is that we can look to nature to understand when would be the best time to do something to get the best results,” Goodman shares. “I am interested in how man is obstructing nature and its ancient knowledge, while the human condition remains the same: that to survive, we must be in harmony with nature and each other.”

Additionally, yesterday—Earth Day, incidentally—Goodman announced a ton of North American tour dates, including a show at the Troubadour in LA on September 26 (check out the full run here). You can listen to the new single below via its black-and-white studio-session music video, and pre-order Planting by the Signs here ahead of its June 20 release.
