You know what instrument Mac DeMarco plays? The guitar. You know what his new album is called? Guitar. The project will arrive on August 22 via Mac’s record label, Mac’s Record Label. Lead single “Home” is a laid back psych-pop cut with Mac employing an occasional foray into falsetto range. It sounds a little bit like The Beatles raised on some alt-folk prophet like Little Wings. Is Mac going British on us? Only time will tell. Regarding the track, Mac said it‘s “a song I wrote at my home in Los Angeles about what home means to me.” There ya go.
