Los Angeles band Rocket have announced that their debut album, R Is for Rocket, will drop on October 3 courtesy of Transgressive Records. The record’s third and latest single “Wide Awake,” arriving today alongside a clever house-party music video, is a guitar-heavy alt-rock radio ripper. Alithea Tuttle’s vocals float atop the shredding guitars and fill-heavy drums, giving the song some nice dynamism. I’ll tell ya what, it sure is easy to stay “wide awake“ with this loud rock music playing. Right?!
“‘Wide Awake’ is the perfect balance of all the elements of this record,” the band shared of the single. “After years in the making and countless versions, we’re excited to finally share it.”
Regarding the album, they added: “R Is for Rocket is about relationships, the most important part of life; relationships with your friends, your parents, your girlfriend or boyfriend, and most importantly your relationship with yourself.”
