With Thundercat a month out from a set of East Coast dates preceding his appearance at Camp Flog Gnaw, the artist is sharing a double single today: “I Wish I Didn’t Waste Your Time” and “Children of the Baked Potato,” both of which feature credits from super-producer Greg Kurstin. While the former track picks up where 2020’s It Is What It Is left off, the latter—living up to its title—is an oddball homage to a staple of Los Angeles’ jazz scene that features vocals from Remi Wolf.

“She’s a child of The Baked Potato like me,” Thundercat shared, referring to the long-running LA jazz club known for its limited menu (as well as its performances). “She knew exactly what the song needed. And it was wild to watch her make it happen. The more I listen to the song, it’s clear there was no one better I could have picked.”

Check out both tunes below (including a playful video for the Remi collab), and grab tickets to Thundercat’s upcoming tour here.
