Snail Mail has announced that her third LP and first release since 2021’s Valentine, Ricochet, will arrive on March 27 via Matador Records. Lead single “Dead End” is an alt-rock banger featuring lyrics about alienation and defiance. “I don’t need other people now / Nobody’s gonna get me down,” Lindsey Jordan sings.

The song’s music video was co-directed by Jordan and Elsie Richter. Regarding the clip, the songwriter said: “We shot the video for ‘Dead End’ in random places all around rural North Carolina between the hours of 5pm and 4am on one of the coldest nights of my life. The goal was to be inconspicuous with the fireworks, but someone called the cops on us.”

Check out that video below, and pre-order Ricochet here.
