Spanish garage quartet Hinds were out-of-nowhere darlings at SXSW this past March, ramshackling their way into the hearts and minds of festivalgoers. In between then and now, the band put together their first album—Leave Me Alone—which is set to arrive at the beginning of 2016 (January 8 to be exact).
“Garden” is the first single as well as the first track on the LP, so it’s a good starting-off point if you didn’t already catch stand-alone singles like “Chili Town” and “Trippy Gum.” This latest track has the same vibe as their earlier music, which is kind of like if HAIM was engulfed in the fire of Black Lips. It seems that the Lips appreciate the musical resemblance as well, having invited Hinds to open for them and Ariel Pink at an upcoming show in Vancouver.
