Alabama Shakes have announced that their first album in over a decade, I Must Be Dreaming, will arrive on August 28 via Island Records. The project was produced by the band and Shawn Everett and recorded in Nashville at Sound Emporium Studios and Blackbird Studio. The band is only sharing a teaser video for the record today, though they also promise to drop the single “I Feel Hope Coming” this Friday.
“This younger generation makes me feel hopeful because they can see through all the political lies—that song’s about holding onto that hope, and refusing to give up,” shared Brittany Howard about the forthcoming track. Guitarist Heath Fogg added, “I’m really happy that song exists. It came from such a joyful moment of collaboration, and exemplifies everything I love about this band being reborn.”
