Despite its artistic achievement, many remember Roald Dahl‘s 1982 fantasy story The BFG as either a surprisingly dark tale about kidnapping, Stockholm syndrome, and child eating, or as the book from their youth that most prominently featured flatulence as a narrative device. But regardless of how comfortable you are with your own bodily functions, director Steven Spielberg is now giving you a chance to revisit the benefits of whizzpopping with his live-action adaptation of Dahl’s fantasy tale, which hits theaters next summer.
While the new trailer—released today by Disney—gives no indication of just how gassy Spielberg’s take on the story will be, we do get our first peak at the Big Friendly Giant himself, as well as the tale’s orphan protagonist Sophie.
Watch the new trailer below, and remember to go easy on the frobscottle.
