The last time we heard from White Denim, they were riding high on the success of 2013’s Jeff Tweedy–helmed Corsicana Lemonade. In the time since, they’ve played every late night show on both sides of the Atlantic and helped to launch the career of Leon Bridges (they met in a bar, where Bridges was apparently wearing some on-point Wranglers).
Now, the Austin group have returned with a new LP entitled Stiff. The album was produced by Ethan Johns (Paul McCartney, Laura Marling), who recorded the band live to tape with a handful of overdubs. That frenetic energy comes through on lead single “Holda You (I’m Psycho),” which you can hear below.
The group will also be embarking on a spring tour to support Stiff, with Sam Cohen opening most of the shows. Those dates, along with the album cover and track list, are below.
