Prince Rama‘s Xtreme Now is one of our most anticipated records of 2016. And while we’ve enjoyed ripping up some fresh pow to the tune of “Bahia,” we have to admit we were getting a little antsy waiting to hear more of the Texas duo’s new LP.
Mercifully, they dropped “Now is the Time of Emotion,” the album’s second single, this morning. It’s a decidedly more straightforward cut than the previous single, but that’s a relative term: the Time of Emotion is apparently best demarcated by a driving no-wave verse and a doubled-down big rock chorus reminiscent of The Go-Go’s. Prepare yourself for fist pumps.
