Missy Elliott, Jason Schwartzman, and Alec Baldwin in the Amazon Echo Super Bowl ad

A year after stealing the Super Bowl halftime show from Katy Perry (but not, it should be noted, a man dressed as a shark), Missy Elliott used The Big Game as an excuse to drop a new song. The appropriately named “Pep Rally” was featured in an ad for Amazon Echo that also featured Alec Baldwin, Dan Marino, and Jason Schwartzman, and it finds Missy drilling her listeners through a pretty exhausting set of dances—if you haven’t fully recovered from last night yet, you may want to simply nod appreciatively.

There’s no telling yet whether “Pep Rally” will be on Missy’s forthcoming album, whether that album is coming at all, or whether we’re simply going to be treated to one new Missy Elliott song per year as part of the Super Bowl, but we’ll keep you posted. You can stream “Pep Rally” and see that Amazon commercial below.
