If you were starting to feel anxious about missing out on Coachella (or Radiohead) this year, Outside Lands has your back. For the ninth year in a row, the massive Golden Gate Park in the heart of San Francisco will be a foggy wonderland of redwood-shrouded music. Radiohead, LCD Soundsystem, and J. Cole represent three of the straightforward headliners, but there a few surprises in there as well, including Lionel Richie, whose presence creates the opportunity for a live version of the “Hello” mashup that everyone wants to see, if they’re being honest with themselves.
Besides those names, Beach House, Sufjan Stevens, Vince Staples, Ryan Adams, Big Grams, Chance the Rapper, and Grimes represent some of the other highlights from the billing. Tickets go on sale this Thursday—not Friday—at 10 a.m. PST, so get your ponchos ready for that.
