Back in April, Allah Las dropped a new track for Mexican Summer’s recent surf film Self Discovery for Social Survival alongside peers Connan Mockasin, MGMT’s Andrew VanWyndgarden, and others associated with the label. Today the band announced a full album of new recordings for the Brooklyn-based label entitled LAHS, slated for release October 11.

From hearing the first single, “In the Air,” the influence of producer and Woods multi-instrumentalist Jarvis Taverniere is already apparent, as the band pivots from their traditional surf licks to more psychedelic noodling. The accompanying video recreates Weekend at Bernie’s for a less yuppie audience, with the band giving an unconscious Pedrum Siadatian an aerial tour of LA after a camouflaged Kiran J. Callinan hits him with a fatal blowdart.
