Hip-hoppers Big Boi and Sleepy Brown have reunited once more for a new project—their first proper joint collab, after almost three decades of friendship. They’ll be dropping a full-length debut for HITCO later this year.
Today we get the first dose of the new pairing, with first single “Intentions.” The Atlanta gang’s all here, including CeeLo Green for a freestyle and Organized Noize’s Ray Murray. The video depicts a party worthy of Kubrick’s orgy-drama Eyes Wide Shut: scores of women wearing masks, wings, bunny ears, and sparkles. There are bare butts galore, and the boys are lovin’ it.
Big Boi co-founded OutKast and has three solo albums to his name, while Sleepy Brown’s discography includes TLC’s “Waterfalls,” Ludacris’ “Saturday (Oooh! Ooooh!),” Janelle Monae’s “I Like That,” and his own solo full-length Mr. Brown.
Earlier this year, the two reunited for a sold out two-week tour with The Dungeon Family. They even made a stop to headline FLOODfest 2019 at SXSW. After that, they visited Stankonia Studios to craft what would become their debut together. Watch the video for “Intentions” below.
