So far this year we’ve gotten two different versions of a non-album Beck single, as well as a pair of tracks inspired by Alfonso Cuarón’s Roma and Legos, respectively—and today one of those jams is getting assigned a home on the songwriter’s just-announced fourteenth album, Hyperspace.
“Saw Lightning” is among the eleven tracks listed on the forthcoming record, along with “Uneventful Days” and “Hyperlife,” which the artist is sharing today along with news of partnerships with Pharrell Williams, Chris Martin, and Sky Ferreira on a handful of Hyperspace tracks—not to mention a modestly vaporwave album cover.
Believe it or not, the tracks themselves have a bit of a vaporwave aesthetic, too, “Hyperlife” working within the genre’s ambient, synth-heavy palette and “Uneventful Days” playing up the contemporary R&B influence.
Stream both tracks below, and expect Hyperspace on November 22 via Capitol Records.
