STRFKR, the glittering, energetic synth-pop band who kind of have the word “fuck” in their name, have shared a brand new single today that’s a far reach from their prior discography. Rather than channelling the amped-up neo-psychedelia that defined their first five records, “Never the Same” sounds like a minimalist take on “Pumped Up Kicks,” carrying over the swirling synths of past projects to a lo-fi, acoustic-guitar driven pop track.
If you wanna hear it in person, the band has just announced dozens of opportunities to do so—beginning in late March, STRFKR will be touring North America in support of the track (as well as others, probably) along with The Undercover Dream Lovers, with dozens of stops through the end of June.
