When we last caught up with Jónsi, the Icelandic singer was in the business of perfumes—seemingly putting all music projects on hold outside of the occasional composition for film soundtracks and collaborations with partner Alex Somers. But today he’s sharing a new video soundtracked by a previously unheard recording called “Exhale”—his first solo track (outside of the We Bought a Zoo OST) since his 2010 debut Go.

The single is what we’ve come to expect from the songwriter, merging his soft vocals with an ambient electronic backing. The video for the single—co-directed by actor Giovanni Ribisi and Jónsi himself—matches the elegance of the track with a dancer draped in a molting black tarp moving in slow motion. Watch it below.
