While you might not know Thomas Heatherwick by name, it would be hard for you to not be aware of his work. The English designer, who has been celebrated for some of his most inventive projects including the 2012 Olympic cauldron and the brand-new London city double-decker buses, will now have an exhibit at the Hammer Museum dedicated to the playful designs of his London studio.
The Los Angeles–based museum, in association with British fashion brand Burberry, will be displaying design concepts and images of some of Heatherwick Studio’s early creations, as well as some of its most creative and popular works. Provocations: The Architecture and Design of Heatherwick Studio will celebrate massive architectural projects (public and private) by the firm from around the world.
Provocations will be on view at the Hammer Museum from February 20–May 24, 2015. Learn more about the exhibit here.
