As if John Dwyer’s every-evolving Oh Sees aren’t hard enough to keep up with—dramatically changing the sound of their music and the spelling of their name on nearly every one of their annual full-lengths—the past two years have seen Dwyer team up with TV on the Radio’s Kyp Malone and a rotating cast of conspirators on a series of dark jazz fusion records. Beginning last year as Bent Arcana, the group ditched their name altogether earlier this year with the release of Witch’s Egg and the impovier Endless Garbage, with a third LP being announced today.

Moon-Drenched arrives May 28 via Castle Face, and, as the collective continues to evolve, features new member Ben Boye, who’s worked with CF affiliates Ty Segall and Mikal Cronin in the past, and has played keys for Angel Olsen and Ryley Walker. The first sample of the record, the 12-minute “The War Clock,” previews the record’s expansive scope, minimal grooves, and unpredictable guitar and sax doodles. Hear it below.
