Syd is back! After releasing her solo album Broken Hearts Club in 2022, the Internet (the band, not the global computer network) star is finally back with new music in the form of “Die for This.” The track is a smooth, upbeat, dance-inspired R&B cut. Backed by minimal instrumentation and the persistent click of a metronome-like percussion groove, Syd has plenty of room to showcase her delightful singing chops. The bass line that enters about 45 seconds in is worth the price of admission on its own.
Syd will be performing “Die for This” and plenty of other cuts across stages this summer and fall, first joining Billie Eilish on her summer UK tour, and later getting with Renée Rapp for her fall US dates. Check out “Die for This” below.
