It’s hard to say what the bigger news story is here: the two all-new singles Jack White dropped out of the blue this morning or the reconvergence of the Jack-Megazord that is Jacks White and Black tomorrow night. After some 20 years of the rocking, Gondry-collaborating, FLOOD-cover-alum Jacks being confused for each other, Black will be hosting this weekend’s episode of Saturday Night Live with White scheduled as the musical guest (they’ve allegedly collaborated perviously—or, at the very least, White has permitted Black into his home). It’s unclear whether White’s two allotted performance slots will be occupied by the two tracks he’s just released, “G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs” and “Derecho Demonico,” or whether he’ll be pulling from his deep catalog as a solo artist or White Stripe. Or maybe those jam sessions with Black will finally see the light of day.

The very Jack-White singles are now streaming, with a 7-inch set to be released tomorrow via Third Man. Check them out below.
