After a few years of touring with boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers has mostly been doing her own thing in 2026, whether that be releasing her first solo album in over a half a decade or entrapping pedophiles in her motion picture debut (or are we counting Between Two Ferns?). Today, these two career milestones overlap in the latest video from A24’s “Sound Check at Cherry Lane Theatre” series, which sees Primetime director Lance Oppenheim filming the songwriter at the series’ titular theater following three nights of sold-out shows at Barclays Center. Naturally, the backdrop for her performance of “On Video”—from Oppenheim’s new film—is a wall of TV sets.
After frequent collaborator Ethan Gruska joins her on that opening track, Bridgers performs the Lost Weekend cuts “Haunted” and “Lost Boys” alongside her boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker. Check out the full 12-minute performance below, and you should probably go see Primetime this weekend if you haven’t already.
